|  | De quand date ma passion pour les roches et les minéraux, en particulier pour les pierres d'ornement? Je pense, en définitive que je m'y suis toujours intéressé, déjà lorsque tout petit, sur les plages de Nice je récoltais les petits cailloux verts, oranges et bleu; qui n'étaient autres que des fragments de bouteilles, polis et repolis par le flux et le reflux! J'ai toujours conservé cette manie de ramasser les cailloux qui sortaient un peu de l'ordinaire.
What is the origin of my passion for mineralogy and specially for ornament minerals ? Probably when little boy, I picked green, blue and red pebble beach on Nice beach (French Riviera), in fact there were nothing else than glass broken bits polished and polished again by the ebb and flow ! Au début des années 50, de LA BOURBOULE (Massif central) où mon frère Patrick faisait une cure; j'ai ramené mes deux premières [ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط], l'une d'un bleu turquoise, l'autre violette.
Pendant mon service militaire en Alsace, en visitant GERARDMER (Vosges), j'ai acheté mes premières [ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط]: un fragment de [ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط]et une gemme ovale de 18 ct (pour une modique somme), c'est à partir de ce moment que je me suis intéressé de manière plus approfondie aux minéraux et à la gemmologie.
J'ai transmi la passion des cailloux à mon père René et à mon beau père Robert, qui étaient tous les deux prêts à prendre leur retraite, et qui sont devenus de véritables collectionneurs.

At that time I began really to study precious stones and gemmology, however it was necessary to study also mineralogy.
I passed on this mania to my father rene and to my Father in law Bob who were ready to retire and they became real mineral collectors
